DATE BETTERFOOD/BEVPACKAGING REFRESH

Concept

ThIS IS A PACKAGING REFRESH THAT TAKES THE BRANDING THAT WAS GIVEN, BUT ELEVATES THE TYPOGRAPHY TO FOCUS MORE ON CONSUMER NEEDS AND A BETTER HIERARCHY.

BY RESTRUCTURING THE TYPOGRAPHY, ADDING FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY TO THE BACK, AND EMPHASIZING THE INGREDIENTS/PRODUCT TYPE, WE CAN BETTER COMMUNICATE TO OUR CONSUMERS THROUGH INTENTIONAL DESIGN.

KITSCHHOLIDAY ADVENT CALENDARPACKAGING DESIGN

Concept

ThIS was a project where I was able to take an existing dieline, and existing illustrations from the collection and push it into a concept that was both interactive and on brand - but a fun nod to the holidays. My concept was a letter to santa, and the nostalgia of letters.

from there, i created postage stamps that kept in line with the already designed accessories line, but also made it it’s own unique experience. the outside closes like an envelope but also adds in a bow for a branded moment. happy holidays!

KITSCHKITSCH CAFE POP UPPPRINT DESIGN

Concept

ThIS IS a pop up event, titled ‘Kitsch cafe’, where we take kitsch’s branding but also push it to create a fun experience for customers to get to know our new line of hair fragrances. The idea is to  grab attention, teach customers about our products and create lasting connections.

from this, we designed a newspaper that felt branded, with custom illustrations. a printed invitation that gets shared on socials. kitsch cafe’s own logo, and branded merchandise for customers to take home.

KITSCHHALLOWEEN ENDCAPVISUAL MERCHANDISING

Concept

ThIS IS An endcap design that was centered around halloween themed accessories. the goal was to make
it feel halloween but also branded, and to have
fun with the copy.

i was able to pitsch the copy “No tricks, just treats” and to find an orange that felt on brand, but also gets the consumers in the mood for fall! seen in ulta stores, fall 2025.

IF ONLY CREATIVEFOOD/BEV PACKAGINGPACKAGING LABEL DESIGN

Concept

The goal here was to take the existing brand guidelines from If only creative, and the brand guidelines from my friend fernando, and design a collab that felt both fun & visually exciting.

the outcome are two salsa labels with custom illustrations, and a go with the flow format that pushes type in a “take it day by day” kinda way.

LITTLE HUNTERDOG FOOD PACKAGING

Concept

Little Hunter is a healthy, freeze-dried dog food brand with simple, organic ingredients. The original packaging design was too similar to many pet food brands already out there. It faced the issue establishing itself in the saturated market of healthy dog food.

Targeting the Gen Z and Millenial demographic, this hypothetical redesign focuses in on using bold typography, custom illustration, color systems and playful copywriting to create a packaging and branding system that rebels against sameness. It has a personality of its own that celebrates the fun and unique spirit of each individual dog; honoring the love for furry pets in a world where dogs are becoming the new children.

Photography style with bold minimalism.

MADONNA INNHOSPITALITY REBRAND

Concept

Madonna Inn is a pink filled time capsule established in 1958. Little has changed, with rooms mixing patterns, incorporating gaudy brass sculptures, and using lots of color. With the entire Inn living on ranch land, the Inn allows everyone to embrace their inner cowgirl/cowboy/cowthey. This hospitality rebrand used the convergence of the two juxtaposing ideas to harness the maximalist and playful nature of the inn.

this project also includes microbranding of the onsite bakery. As a staple of the community, it felt important to also address the bakery identity and how it could both live within the Madonna Inn and on its own.

posters that mix-match typography, imagery and illustration to capture the essence of the madonna inn

a series of postcards using the new brand identity including typographic and graphic systems

flags for outside of the property to help guests find their destination

billboard usage for the highway since the inn resides off of the interstate

THe madonna inn is apart of san luis obispo but out of the main city. Signage in the city is helpful for tourists to discover its wonder

coasters that showcase the monogram along with the full logo and color systems

old style matches that show off the history of the brand and an ode to the stables on the property

a look book that showcases who the madonna inn is and helps you to find what to do and where to stay next

microbranding of the alex and phyllis bakery to represent who the couple was and how they can spread the joy

what the aprons of the employees could look like

using fun copywriting to keep the brand voice cheerful and humorous

DELPHIEBEAUTY PACKAGINGSUSTAINABILITY FOCUS

Concept

Delphie is a hypothetical skincare brand which emphasizes sustainability through materials and refill systems. It focuses in on solid beauty which also helps decrease the energy needed to store and transport the items. The six products include toner, serum, sunscreen, moisturizer, exfoliant, and cleanser. All come with the option for refill systems and permanent packaging made out of brushed aluminum and wood. As younger demographics focus more on sustainability, it is important to find a way to design permanent packaging that also serves an aesthetic function. These materials create a sustainable and beautiful alternative to plastic. It is a design that doesn’t draw too much attention, and uses natural colors to fit into many different room aesthetics. Overall, Delphie is a new way to look at skincare, from sustainability, materials and functionality in the home.

ICH BINPRINT DESIGN EXPERIMENTAL

Concept

Ich Bin was a project printed and designed at the studio Little Steidl in Göttingen, Germany. The project was led by Nina Holland, and explored typography in print, with the various usage of different paper types. We explored coated vs. uncoated, legibility with different leadings and point sizes, and finally how page size and formatting can bring a piece fully together.
